METHODOLOGY

For our project, We have conducted 3 semi-structured interviews with 2 Nepalese and 1 Indian. All of them are either born in Hong Kong or have lived here for a long time. They are interviewed with the same set of questions followed by additional questions when necessary. In addition, domain analysis are conducted during the interviews.

After analysing the interviews, we hope that the findings can address the questions below:

→ Explanation on Nepalese and Indian teenagers’ self-identity

→ Generational difference or similarity on the perception towards self-identity as being a Nepalese

→ Whether language is an important factor in their identity construction

→ If any other influential factors exist
